Emma Nowakowski boasts first career sock trick
WASHINGTON – After a four game loss streak, GW lacrosse picked up its second win of the season versus Robert Morris on Saturday, topping the Colonials, 16-9.
Robert Morris opened the first quarter with two unassisted goals. Phoebe Mullarkey scored the first goal of the game for the Revolutionaries, with Emma Nowakowski adding a second goal just two minutes after Mullarkey to tie the game, 2-2. Bailey Aaron added a free-position goal to bring GW up 3-2 in the first, and another goal from Mullarkey at the end of the quarter created a two-goal lead for the Revolutionaries, 4-2.
GW added four goals in the second quarter, with the Colonials tallying only two goals, widening the GW lead to four heading into halftime at 8-4.
In the third quarter, GW netted four goals and maintained a six-goal lead, ending the third quarter with a score of 12-6.
While netting four more goals in the final 15 minutes of play, GW defeated Robert Morris, 16-9.

- Nowakowski earned her first career sock trick, boasting six goals and two assists.
- Mullarkey, Aaron and Desiree Kleberg all had hat tricks.
