BUFF & BLUE IN 2023
GW finished 6-12 overall in 2023, with a 5-4 mark in the Atlantic 10. Atlantic 10 Second Team honoree Stella Ray returns to the GW midfield for her sophomore season after finishing fourth in the NCAA in ground balls per game and starting in all 18 contests. Co-captain Everly Kessler is one GW's top returning offensive threats after putting together a 15-goal season in her second year with the Buff & Blue. Junior Mia Caro is also back after starting in all but one game for GW in 2023. The Wellington, Fla., native made 164 stops in net last season, allowing 223 goals to earn a .424 save percentage.
NEW FACES
GW welcomed five first-years as part of its 2023-24 class and added graduate students Emma Nowakowski, Desiree Kleberg and Saundra Godshall to the 2024 roster. Kleberg, a transfer from Quinnipiac, was selected as one of GW's four team captains this season. In addition, senior Chamberlaine Bell was added to the roster as a transfer attacker from Bryant University.Â
SCOUTING HOWARD
Howard is coming off a winless 2023 season, going 0-15 in the regular season and 0-8 in conference play.
