BISHOP EARNS THIRD A-10 PLAYER OF THE WEEK AWARD
James Bishop IV collected another conference accolade on Monday following a pair of phenomenal personal performances last week at Saint Joseph's and Saint Louis. Bishop tallied back-to-back 30-point games for the first time in his career, scoring 32 points at St. Joe's on Wednesday before posting a new season-high with 34 points on Saturday at Saint Louis via a career-best seven 3-pointers.
Over the last two games, Bishop is averaging 33.0 ppg on an incredibly efficient 50% FG (21-42) and 64.7% 3pt FG (11-17). He also has provided 5.0 apg, 3.0 rpg and 1.5 spg while playing 79 of a possible 80 minutes in the two games.
Saturday marked Bishop's 11th game this season with 20+ points and 4+ assists, ranking third nationally in such games. Over the last four years, Bishop has 36 games of 20+ points and 4+ assists, the most among any active player in Division I. Bishop has now scored exactly 500 points this season, his third-straight year reaching the 500-point threshold. He is one of just seven players nationally to do so in each of the last three years.
