Lacrosse Hosts William & Mary Saturday

Opening draw scheduled for 1 p.m. at the Mount Vernon Lacrosse Field
WASHINGTON – GW lacrosse will host William & Mary for a 1 p.m. matinee on Saturday at the Mount Vernon Lacrosse Field.Â
HISTORY WITH THE TRIBE
The Revolutionaries fell 10-9 at W&M in 2023. Over the years, GW lacrosse has dropped four out of five matchups with William & Mary. GW lacrosse won the only home matchup against the Tribe on March 1, 2005, 13-12.
AMERICAN RECAP
GW was handed its third loss of the season, falling to American at home on Wednesday, 10-5. Bailey Aaron led the offense with two goals and two assists. Stella Ray led the team in draw controls (6) and ground balls (5). Phoebe Mullarkey led the team in shots on goal (4). Goalkeeper Mia Caro had a season-high 12 saves.
SO FAR THIS SEASON
Everly Kessler leads the team in goals (8) and assists (4). Stella Ray leads the team in draw controls (20) and ground balls (11). Phoebe Mullarkey has the highest shot on goal percentage on the team with a .941.
SCOUTING W&M
The Tribe (1-2) are coming off a Wednesday afternoon 17-7 loss against #18 Richmond. Senior defender Caroline Hertzberg was selected to the Preseason All-CAA honorable mention team. Kate Draddy leads the team with 10 draw controls and five assists. Draddy is in a three-way tie for the most goals on the team this season alongside Finley Hoffman and Sydney Witwer (4). Courtney Vasquenza leads the team in accumulated ground balls (8). W&M had a final record of 8-8 in 2023.
