Lacrosse Travels to UMBC on Saturday for First Away Game of the Season

Opening draw is scheduled for 12 p.m. at UMBC Stadium
WASHINGTON – George Washington lacrosse will visit UMBC on Saturday for a 12 p.m. opening draw at UMBC Stadium in Baltimore, Md.Â
WEEKEND RECAP
After a successful season opener last Friday beating Howard, 21-7, GW fell to Canisius on Sunday, 11-6. On Friday, Phoebe Mullarkey had a career-high five-point day. Mullarkey, Kleberg and Kessler all boasted hat tricks. GW held a 35-12 advantage in shots on goal and a 21-10 advantage on draw controls. In net, Mia Caro and Arden Bogle shared the keeper responsibilities, with Bogle making her first collegiate appearance in goal. Both finished the day with one save apiece. While netting three goals in the final 15 minutes of play, GW finished with 21 on the day, tied for the fifth-most in program history.

GW began its 2023 campaign with a 19-10 loss to UMBC at the Mount Vernon Lacrosse Field.
SCOUTING UMBC
The Retrievers (1-1) began the 2024 season with a two-game week, topping Delaware State, 20-2, before falling to Delaware, 9-6. Kolby Weedon leads the offense with five goals.
