CAPUTO AMONG FASTEST GW COACHING STARTS
With a win this past Saturday, Coach Chris Caputo moved his career win percentage back to .600 at 27-18. Caputo is just the fifth coach in program history to win at least 60% of his first 45 games and the first to do so since Mike Jarvis started his career 29-16 from 1990-92.
Caputo's 27 wins are the fifth-most in his first 45 games as well, trailing only Bill Reinhart (37-8, 1935-42), George Garber (31-14, 1947-49), Bob Tallent (29-16, 1974-81) and Jarvis (29-16, 1990-98).

Garrett Johnson notched his third A-10 weekly accolade on Tuesday following his third double-double of the year on Saturday. Johnson is second on the team in scoring at 14.0 ppg and 6.6 rpg, the only freshman in the country with those averages. He is one of just seven rookies with three double-doubles this year.
Johnson enters conference play as the top rookie scorer and 3-pointer shooter in the A-10 and ranks second among first-years in rebounding and minutes per game.

STRETCHING THE DEFENSE
Babatunde Akingbola blocked four more shots on Saturday vs. UMES, increasing his season total to 45, second-most in the NCAA. Akingbola is also second nationally with 3.5 blocks per game and is on pace to blow the current GW record (84 by Yinka Dare in 1992-93) out of the water, averaging 0.7 more blocks per game than Dare did in his record year.
Per @A10Stats, Akingbola has a direct impact on opponent's success at the rim this year. The opposition is shooting just 45.1% on rim attempts when he is in the game compared to 67.7% when he is off the floor.
A LOOK AT THE RAMS
Fordham is in year two of the Keith Urgo era after a scintillating 25-8 campaign last season. The Rams have been up-and-down during non-conference play this year, finishing with a 6-7 mark following an 87-78 victory over Columbia on Saturday.
Japhet Medor leads a quartet of players in double figures with 12.2 ppg. Josh Rivera (11.2 ppg), Abdou Tsimbila (10.7) and Will Richardson (10.0) all also average over 10 per game. Fordham has struggled offensively overall this year, ranking last in the A-10 in field goal percentage (41.1%) and effective field goal percentage (47.3%) while scoring 72.9 ppg, 13th in the league.
Defensively, the Rams average 4.8 bpg and force a league-leading 15.9 turnovers per game. Abdou Tsimbila is second in the A-10 with 35 blocks and 2.9 per game, both top-five nationally.
