Golf Goes Low Again, Ties for Second at Virtues Intercollegiate

NASHPORT, Ohio - GW golf wrapped up the Virtues Intercollegiate on Tuesday, hosted by Miami (Ohio), tying for second place out of 17 teams. The Buff & Blue shot an 11-under 853 as a team, posting the third-best team score in program history, five shots better than last week's VCU Shootout.
GW's 11-under was also the third-best for the program, surpassed only by a pair of tournaments last fall. The Revolutionaries have recorded four of the top six team scores in program history since the beginning of the 2022-23 season.
Individually, Jed Dy and Rodrigo Barahona paced the Buff & Blue with dueling 6-under 210s. Dy sat in third place after the first day after firing an opening-round 67 and a second-round 71 before rounding out the tournament with a 72 on Tuesday. He also led the tournament with 17 birdies, helping GW post a team-best 62 in the three rounds.
Barahona enjoyed the par-5s, combining to go 8-under on them in the three rounds. He shot a 68 to open his week before posting rounds of 72 and 70 to finish inside the top 10.
