Golf Posts Fifth-Best 54-Hole Score in Program History at VCU Shootout

RICHMOND, Va. - GW golf returned to the site of its program-shattering event last year with the VCU Shootout at the Tuckahoe Creek Course at The Country Club of Virginia this week. The Buff & Blue came shy of the records broken a year ago, but still posted the fifth-best 54-hole score in program history with a 6-under 858.
The Revolutionaries finished 11th in the event as a team behind scores of 289-284-285. The 6-under team mark is the third lowest to par in team history, behind last season's 35-under at the same event and a 13-under mark at last October's Pacific Visit Stockton Invitational.
Hugo Riboud paced a balanced GW group, finishing with a 2-under 214 thanks to under-par rounds of 71 and 70 on Monday. Jakub Hrinda, Jed Dy and Rodrigo Barahona each carded even-par 216s and Manuel Barbachano had the best individual round of the tournament for GW with a 3-under 69 on Tuesday to finish at 6-over 222.
