Hrinda, Riboud named GCAA All-America Scholars

NORMAN, Okla - GW senior golfers Jakub Hrinda and Hugo Riboud were named 2022-23 Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) All-America Scholars, the organization announced on Wednesday.
To be eligible for GCAA All-America Scholar nomination at the Division I level, an individual must be at least a sophomore both academically and athletically, must participate in 50 percent of their team's competitive rounds, have a stroke average under 76.0 and maintain a minimum cumulative career grade-point average of 3.2. A recipient must also be of high moral character and be in good standing at his college or university.
Hrinda posted a 3.96 GPA in Neuroscience during the 2022-23 campaign, a year in which he also earned a spot on the A-10 All-Academic team. The Poprad, Slovakia native also earned A-10 All-Conference and PING All-Region honors for his play, which included a team-best 71.18 scoring average in 33 rounds this year.
Riboud recorded a 3.53 GPA while majoring in business. On the course, the Saint Jean De Luz, France native averaged a 74.18 stroke average while appearing in all 33 rounds. He finished t-30 at the A-10 Championship.
