Giraldo, Wiesemann Earn All-Conference Honors

Pair named to A-10 First Team
NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – Gabriela Giraldo and Stella Wiesemann of George Washington women's tennis have been named to the Atlantic 10 All-Conference First Team, the conference announced on Tuesday.
In her first season with the Buff & Blue, Giraldo led GW in singles play with a 14-4 record in the second spot. The Bogota, Colombia native finished 6-2 overall in A-10 singles matches.
Wiesemann earned the second first team honor of her career after posting a 13-5 singles record at the No. 1 flight throughout the season. Wiesemann closed her junior campaign having won nine straight singles matches and went 8-0 against conference opponents. With partner Giraldo, the pair went 12-6 in doubles play overall and 5-2 in A-10 matchups, all at the No. 1 spot. Â
