Lacrosse Hosts Saint Joseph’s in Midweek Matchup

WASHINGTON – GW women's lacrosse will host Saint Joseph's on Wednesday for a 1 p.m. opening draw at the Mount Vernon Lacrosse Field.
LAST TIME OUT
GW was held to four goals in a 19-4 defeat vs. nationally-ranked UMass on Saturday. Kerry McKeever and Amber Germer combined for the four tallies, scoring two goals apiece. Germer took a team-high four shots, putting all four on net and scooped up a team-best four ground balls.
MIA MAKING SAVES
Sophomore goalkeeper Mia Caro continues to lead the league averaging 9.38 saves/game. Caro has tallied 75 saves this year and posted a career-best 12 saves vs. Stetson. She matched the personal best on Saturday against UMass. Caro has started all eight contests for the Buff & Blue and has played all but 30 minutes in the cage.

Sarah Groark was named this week's Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week, scoring four goals and tallying three assists in the win over the Dukes. Bonnie Yu leads the Hawks' offense with 16 goals and six assists.
