Gymnastics Tallies 195.175 at Denver

GW finishes third in quad meet out west
DENVER – GW gymnastics finished third with a 195.175 in the Denver quad meet at Magness Arena on Sunday. The Buff & Blue posted a 49.075 on vault, a 48.725 on bars, a 48.675 on beam and a 48.700 on floor.
Denver topped the four-team field with a 197.500, Pitt finished second with a 195.775 and Air Force placed fourth with a 192.475.
Deja Chambliss earned her third vault title of the season, finishing in a three-way tie for first overall with a 9.900 to match her season-high. Kendall Whitman finished third overall on floor with a 9.875.
Chambliss scored a season-high 9.825 on beam to lead the rotation. Whitman made her season debut on the event, posting a 9.775.
ROTATION ONE – BARS (48.725)
The afternoon began on bars led by Rachel Katz's season-high-matching 9.775. Anneliese Silverman posted a season-high 9.750 and Hannah Munnelly and Chambliss also added 9.750s. Libby Garfoot added a 9.700 and Madi McMullen rounded out the bars rotation with an 8.900.
ROTATION TWO – BEAM (48.675)
The Buff & Blue moved to beam for its second rotation led by Chambliss with a season-high 9.825. Sarah Zois added a 9.800, Whitman added her 9.775, Katz posted a 9.650, Silverman scored a 9.625 and Deana Sheremeta added a 9.200.
ROTATION THREE – FLOOR (48.700)
Whitman led the floor rotation with a 9.875, while Chambliss added a 9.800. Silverman posted a 9.700, York added a 9.675, Sheremeta scored a 9.650 and Payton Lynch finished with a 9.475.
ROTATION FOUR – VAULT (49.075)
GW's best rotation of the afternoon came on vault, led by Chambliss' 9.900. Katz posted her third-straight 9.825 and York added a season-high 9.800. Whitman and Zois added a pair of 9.775s and Gabby Lopez posted a 9.675.

GW heads to New Hampshire for an EAGL quad meet with LIU and North Carolina on Sunday at 1 p.m. from the Whittemore Center.
