GW's Deana Sheremeta and Lola Montevago each delivered strong performances Thursday at the NCAA Regional competition on the campus of Arizona State in Tempe, Ariz.
Competing alongside the BYU gymnastics team, Sheremeta, a senior, recorded a 9.900 on floor exercise in rotation No.2. Montevago, a sophomore, closed out the afternoon for GW in rotation four with a 9.825 on the uneven bars.
Sheremeta will now await the results of Saturday's regional final, as the top event specialist from each regional (not on an advancing team) earns a berth to the national championships in Fort Worth, Texas. She caps a successful four-year career at GW that includes two NCAA Regional appearances, numerous All-EAGL honors, and recognition as the EAGL's 2026 Senior Gymnast of the Year.
Montevago concludes her season with her second-straight NCAA Regional appearance after capturing both the bars and all-around titles at the 2026 EAGL Championships.
