Bolton nets first goals of GW career
DeLAND, Fla. – GW lacrosse fell short at Stetson on Friday, dropping its first road contest of the year, 12-7.
After appearing in one game so far this season, sophomore Hayley Bolton came alive for the GW offense on Friday, netting her first career goal as part of a three-goal outing and first-ever hat trick. Bolton scored the opening goal for the Buff & Blue and found the back of the net two more times in the third and fourth quarters.
Bolton's first quarter goal would be GW's only tally in the opening 15 minutes. GW pocketed two goals in the second quarter, but a lively Stetson offense put the visitors behind 7-3 at the half.
GW managed a pair of goals in both of the remaining quarters, but the established lead from the Hatters gave the home team their first win of the season.
