Barbachano Named A-10 Rookie Golfer of the Week

First-year named co-champion at Savannah Intercollegiate
NEWPORT NEWS, Va. -Â GW first-year golfer Manuel Barbachano was named the Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week, the league announced on Friday.
Barbachano was named the individual co-champion of the Savannah Intercollegiate last weekend with a 7-under 209, helping lead the Colonials to a T-3 team finish. The Merida, Mexico native shot a 4-under 68 in his final round to come from behind and earn the individual co-crown.
GW is back in action on March 13 at the Ross Collegiate Classic in Southern Pines, N.C.
