Men's Basketball Welcomes La Salle for Critical Clash Saturday

Colonials look to exact revenge against Explorers at 6 p.m.
WASHINGTON - Following back-to-back overtime road victories for the first time in program history, GW men's basketball returns to the Charles E. Smith Center for a second-chance showdown with La Salle. Tip is set for 6 p.m. on Saturday with coverage available on ESPN+.

GW is now 4-0 in overtime games, with all four wins coming in the last month. GW's last regulation victory was Jan. 21 vs. Dayton. The Colonials are tied for the best OT record in the country, with Kansas State and Washington joining the Buff & Blue at 4-0.
GW's four OT games are tied for the most in program history, also going 4-0 in 2005-06 and 1990-91 in addition to 2-2 in 1982-83. Prior to the last two games, GW had only ever played consecutive overtime games once - Jan. 7 & 11, 2006 (at Marshall, vs. SLU). Sunday and Wednesday marked the first back-to-back road overtime wins in program history.

He has also increased his field goal percentage by 10.3 points from last year to 48.3%, which is 7th in the A-10, and 3-point percentage by 12.8 points to 40%, 2nd in the A-10. Adams has now gone over 20 points seven times this season after doing so just twice in the first four years of his career.
The Baltimore native ranks fifth in the A-10 with 2.5 made 3s per game. His 70 3s this year are nearly as many as his first four years combined (81) and rank 10th in GW single-season history (school record - 89).
A LOOK AT THE EXPLORERS
La Salle enters Saturday just a game behind the Colonials in the standings but has dropped two in a row to George Mason (70-66) and Duquesne (91-74). Prior to that, the Explorers had won five in a row starting with a 75-64 triumph over the Colonials on Feb. 1.
First-year head coach Fran Dunphy, now in his 31st season as a college head coach, oversees a balanced attack led by Khalil Brantley's 14.3 ppg. Josh Nickelberry is the lone other Explorer adding double digits at 11.3 ppg. The balance has come throughout the lineup as La Salle ranks second in the A-10, and 29th nationally, with 26.1 bench points per game.
GW, after a poor shooting night in the first matchup, will look to exploit a La Salle defense that ranks 14th in the A-10 in field goal defense (44.8%) and 13th in scoring defense (72.4 ppg).
