Men's Basketball to Host Georgetown on Alumni & Families Weekend at GW
7/21/2026 10:00:00 AM | Men's Basketball
For the second-straight year, GW's men's basketball team will welcome the Georgetown Hoyas to the Charles E. Smith Center for exhibition action, this time coming on Alumni & Families Weekend on Friday, October 16Â at 6 p.m. Following last year's sold-out event, alumni, family and friends are urged to get their tickets now.Â
Prior to last season, alumni had not seen the Hoyas play in the Smith Center since December 13, 1980. In a hard-fought battle last October that was played with the intensity of a game in March, the standing room only crowd saw a heated contest that set the stage for the Revolutionaries' season that culminated in an NIT appearance and first postseason win since 2017.
This season, led by returning starter Jean Aranguren and a transfer class that features six players from Power 4 conferences, GW will play a league schedule that features a home slate with six of the top seven finishers from last year's conference standings and five postseason teams.
2026-27 Season Tickets for GW men's basketball are also on sale now, starting as low as $125.
