Golf Projected Fourth in A-10 Preseason Poll

Buff & Blue opened spring season this past weekend with third-place finish
NEWPORT NEWS, Va. -Â GW golf was selected to finish fourth in the Atlantic 10 preseason poll, the conference announced on Wednesday.
GW earned one of the 12 first-place votes and earned 105 points in the poll. Two-time defending champion Davidson earned six first-place votes and was projected to repeat once again. VCU earned the remaining five first-place votes to come in second in the poll.
Richmond earned one more point than the Colonials in the poll. Rhode Island was picked fifth, followed by Dayton, George Mason, Loyola Chicago, La Salle, St. Bonaventure, Fordham and Saint Joseph's.
GW began its spring season with a third-place team finish at the Savannah Intercollegiate this past weekend. First-year Manuel Barabachano was named the individual co-champion after posting a 7-under 209.
The Buff & Blue resume their spring season on March 13-14 at the Ross Collegiate Classic hosted by Mid Pines GoIf Club in Southern Pines, N.C.
