WASHINGTON – George Washington lacrosse will host Temple on Saturday for a 1 p.m. opening draw at the Mount Vernon Lacrosse Field.
LAST TIME OUTÂ
Despite six credited GW goal scorers, the Buff & Blue dropped their season opener to UMBC last Saturday, 19-10.
IMMEDIATE IMPACTÂ
Saturday's loss was highlighted by graduate transfers Whitney Moran and Kerry McKeever, who made an immediate impact on offense, combining for five of GW's goals. Moran pocketed her first hat trick of the season, with three goals on a team-high nine shots. McKeever tallied two goals on eight shots, seven of which were put on net. McKeever was also credited with one assist.
SCOUTING TEMPLE
The Owls (1-1) began the 2023 season with a two-game week, topping Vermont, 10-5, before falling to Ohio State, 10-9. Katie Shallow was named AAC Defensive Player of the Week after picking up nine ground balls and causing six turnovers. Bella Mastropietro and Julie Schickling lead the offense with five goals apiece.
