Women’s Tennis Tops Bucknell, 6-1

GW secures first victory of 2023
COLLEGE PARK, Md. – George Rodriguez clinched his first victory as head coach of the Buff & Blue in a 6-1 win over Bucknell on Friday at the JTCC in College Park, Md.
Stella Wiesemann and Gabriela Giraldo and Alejandra Ramirez and Charlotte Bell won their respective doubles flight to claim the doubles point for GW. Wiesemann, Giraldo, Bell, Sarah Bodewes and Alejandra Ramirez each won their singles match to lift GW over the Bison.
Four of GW's five singles wins came in straight sets (Wiesemann, Giraldo, Bell and Ramirez).
GW will host Army and Marquette next weekend.
