Dy Named A-10 Golfer of the Week

WASHINGTON -Â GW sophomore golfer Jed Dy was named the A-10's Golfer of the Week on Monday for his performance at the Virtues Intercollegiate.
Dy recorded a top-10 finish in Ohio with a 6-under 210 to tie for ninth among a field of 88 competitors. He also lapped the field with 17 birdies and tied for the second-best par-4 scoring at -5.Â
The Makati, Philippines native opened the tournament with a 67, the second-lowest round for a Revolutionary this season, and sat at 6-under 138 through 36 holes, tied for the 10th-best two-round score in program history. He wrapped up the tournament with an even-par 72 to finish with a career-best 210 for the championship.
Dy and the Buff & Blue return to the course in two weeks for their penultimate tournament of the fall at the Elon Phoenix Invitational on Oct. 16-17.
