Hrinda Named Atlantic 10 Golfer of the Week

Senior earns the recognition after an impressive start at VCU Shootout
NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – Jakub Hrinda of GW golf has earned the first Atlantic 10 Golfer of the Week honor of the 2022-23 season after a standout performance at the VCU Shootout on Monday and Tuesday.
Hrinda paced GW with a second-place finish behind a 14-under-par 202 (67-66-69). Hrinda's finish set the 54-hole total record in GW golf program history, relative to par by 10 strokes. Hrinda recorded 37 pars and 14 birdies to boast a career-low score in the season-opening tournament, which saw GW finish third overall among the 14 competing teams.
