Colonials add 18 new players to the program
WASHINGTON - George Washington baseball head coach Gregg Ritchie has announced the addition of 18 newcomers to the program. The group consists of eight transfers and 10 first-year players, and includes nine pitchers, three outfielders, three infielders and three utility players.
"We are excited to introduce and welcome 18 newcomers that will put on the Buff & Blue at The Tuck this year," Ritchie said. "It is a group that is packed with a tremendous mix of young and experienced talent. This is a group that is filled with high character and the visible desire to achieve their very best - in the classroom, community, and on the field.
"This incoming class brings size, athleticism and versatility to our already exceptional and accomplished group of returners. It is a group that fills the team's immediate needs and sets up the future success of the program. All of these young men bring with them a competitor's and champion's mindset. They are "all in" type student-athletes with an attitude and effort that will help drive our team to success. We are excited to add these 18 into the GW Baseball Family and on the path to a championship!"
