Buff & Blue welcome Jayla Thornton and Asjah Inniss to Foggy Bottom
WASHINGTON - GW women's basketball head coach Caroline McCombs announced the addition of two transfer student-athletes to the program on Tuesday. Jayla Thornton and Asjah Inniss will rep the Buff & Blue for the upcoming 2022-23 season.
"We are ecstatic to bring in these two latest additions to our GW family," Coach McCombs said. "Jayla is a proven scorer and 3-point shooter, with great length from the wing position, while Asjah is a combo guard that can play at a high level on both sides of the ball. Both players have been able to grow their skills prior to their time at GW, and they will both bring a lot of on-court experience to our team."
The two transfer students join an incoming class for next season that includes first-year players Nya Robertson and Caia Loving, and graduate transfer Mia Lakstigala.

The graduate student is the MEAC's all-time leader in 3-pointers made (275), and is a career 33 percent shooter from beyond the arc.
