Wisemann readies for Atlantic 10 Championship
NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – Stella Wiesemann of GW women's tennis has been tabbed as the Atlantic 10 Player of the Week.
The Jena, Germany, native helped lead her team to a 4-0 victory over Duquesne on Saturday to finish the regular season on a three-match win streak. Wiesemann topped her singles opponent in straight sets and also earned a 6-3 doubles win with partner Alexandra Vesikallio.
Wiesemann has been consistent at GW's No. 1 singles spot, picking up a team-leading 13 victories this season.
