Lacrosse Hosts VCU for Senior Day

GW welcomes Rams on Saturday at noon
WASHINGTON – GW lacrosse will close out its regular season with a Senior Day matchup against VCU on Saturday at noon at the Mount Vernon Lacrosse Field. Live coverage will be available via ESPN+.
THANK YOU, SENIORS
GW will honor eight student-athletes on Saturday, including Cora Broadhurst, Alana Greene, Tori Hampton, Kendall Lambert, Maddy O'Brien, Megan Patrick, Brynn Smith and Sophia Watkinson.
LAST TIME OUT
GW dropped its most recent pair of conference games to Saint Joseph's and Duquesne. In Saturday's 15-14 loss to the Dukes, Sophia Watkinson tallied her third career hat trick to lead all GW scorers, with eight student-athletes registering a goal. In addition, Tori Hampton recorded a career-high four assists and continues to lead the team with 10 helpers this season.
ON THE ATTACKÂ
Junior attacker Katelyn Walker is having her most successful season in the Buff & Blue, leading the team with 19 goals while riding a six-game scoring streak. Walker has scored in all but four contests in 2022 and has registered eight multi-score outings during her junior campaign.
ABOUT THE RAMS
VCU is 7-9 overall and 3-5 in conference play. Juliana George and Kelsey McDonnell lead the Rams with 31 and 30 goals, respectively. George also leads the team with 10 assists. VCU snapped a four-game losing skid with a 16-6 win over St. Bonaventure last Saturday.
