Lacrosse Set to Play Saint Joseph’s and Duquesne

GW to play final regular-season road game on Thursday
WASHINGTON – GW lacrosse will head to Saint Joseph's on Thursday at 6 p.m. before hosting Duquesne at the Mount Vernon Lacrosse Field on Saturday at 1 p.m. Thursday's action in Philadelphia will be available on ESPN+.
LAST TIME OUT
GW fell at nationally-ranked UMass last Friday before dropping a 14-10 decision at George Mason on Sunday. Katelyn Walker scored a pair of goals in each game to bring her season total to 16, a team-leading figure alongside Tori Hampton. Walker owns a four-game scoring streak, with three of the last four games being multi-score outings for the junior attacker. Phoebe Mullarkey tallied four goals across the two conference matchups, including her second hat trick of the season on Sunday at Mason.
SCOUTING SAINT JOSEPH'S
The Hawks are 9-5 overall and 5-1 in conference play and are coming off of a 2-0 weekend with wins over George Mason and VCU. Lauren Figura leads the Atlantic 10 with 52 goals, averaging 3.71 goals per game. Figura also leads the conference in shots per game with an average of 6.93, for 97 on the year.
A LOOK AT DUQUESNE
On Monday, the Dukes (4-9, 1-5 A-10) took home two of the three weekly awards from the Atlantic 10, with Alana Piano named Defensive Player of the Week and Delaney Rodriguez-Shaw as Rookie of the Week. Rodriguez-Shaw leads the team with 30 goals, good enough for eighth in the A-10. Sam King is tied for second on the squad with 28 goals and ranks 10th in the NCAA and second in the A-10 with a .609 shooting percentage.
