Baseball Hosts St. Bonaventure to Begin A-10 Play

The Colonials and Bonnies kick off their three-game series Friday at 3:00 p.m.
WASHINGTON - GW baseball returns to Tucker Field on Friday when it hosts St. Bonaventure for a three-game set to kick off A-10 play. First pitch for Friday's opener begins at 3:00 p.m., followed by a 1:00 p.m. game on Saturday, and a noon matinee on Sunday. Friday's and Saturday's games will be streamed on ESPN+.
'92 AND '02 CHAMPIONSHIP CELEBRATION:
Saturday afternoon at the Tuck, GW baseball will commemorate a pair of iconic championship squads. Both the 1992 and 2002 A-10 Championship teams will be honored during a pregame ceremony, and throughout Saturday's contest.
Fans are encouraged to arrive at Tucker Field early in order to enjoy the celebration. Food and drinks will be available for purchase. More information about Saturday's celebration can be found here:

MARCH MADNESS:
As the calendar switches to April, the Buff & Blue can take pride in its offensive success during March. GW put together an impressive .301 team batting average during the third month of the year, while compiling 206 hits and 115 RBIs. GW ends March as the top hitting team in the A-10 with 249 total hits.
Individually, GW had six different players bat over .300 in March. Steve DiTomaso led all players after hitting .430 with 16 RBIs, 22 runs scored, and a 1.090 OPS.
HARRISON AT HOME:
Redshirt senior Harrison Cohen, Friday's projected starter, will take the mound looking to continue his early season success at the Tuck. In Cohen's first three starts at home, he is 3-0, while averaging seven innings a start, and just over eight strikeouts a game. Additionally, Cohen is pitching to a sparkling 1.29 ERA, while opponents are hitting just .176 against the righty at the Tuck.
SCOUTING ST. BONAVENTURE
St. Bonaventure enters this weekend's series still searching for its first win of 2022. The Bonnies are currently 0-15 on the season, but they have yet to play a home game due to the winter weather in Olean, N.Y.
Leading the Bonnies are redshirt sophomore Jackson DeJohn and redshirt senior Brendyn Stillman. DeJohn is tops on the Bonnies in batting average (.306) and on-base percentage (.418), while Stillman leads the team in hits (13), homers (2), and total bases (22).
