Pair of School Records Highlight Outdoor Track Season Opener

Kathryn Nohilly and Miles Grant set new GW high marks on Friday
RICHMOND, Va. - Graduate student Kathryn Nohilly and junior Miles Grant each set a new school record to ring in GW's outdoor track season at the Richmond Invitational on Friday.
Nohilly, who broke four school records during the Buff & Blue's indoor track season, started the afternoon with a record-breaking performance in the women's 1500m. Nohilly finished in a time of 4:27.79, which broke her own school record by just under one second. Nohilly now holds GW records in the outdoor 1500m, as well as the indoor 1000m, mile, 4x800 relay, and DMR.
On the men's side, Miles Grant put on a show in the high jump. Grant finished first on the day thanks to an historic 1.95m jump over the horizontal bar. Grant entered Friday as the GW record holder in the high jump and easily eclipsed his previous high mark by .03 meters.
In addition to Friday's school records, the Buff & Blue finished with five new personal records, and 11 top-10 finishes.
