Lacrosse Hosts Kennesaw State, Longwood

Opening draw for both contests set for 1 p.m.
WASHINGTON – GW lacrosse will begin a two-game homestand when it hosts Kennesaw State on Thursday before welcoming Longwood to the Mount Vernon Lacrosse Field on Saturday. Both games are scheduled for 1 p.m., with Thursday's contest available on ESPN+.
LAST TIME OUT
On Saturday, GW dropped a 19-3 decision at Georgetown. Katelyn Walker scored two goals to extend her scoring streak to three games. Walker is tied for first on the team with five goals this season alongside Tori Hampton. Kendall Lambert tallied GW's other goal, her second score of the season. Lambert also registered one assist.
SCOUTING KENNESAW STATE
The Owls are 5-4 on the season and are coming off a dominant 23-2 win at Howard on Tuesday. Siena Gore leads Kennesaw State with 42 goals this season. Gore scored a team-high four goals at Howard, while five other student-athletes all had multi-score days for KSU. Gore enters Thursday's contest as the ASUN's Player of the Week, her second-straight honor and third this season.
A LOOK AT LONGWOOD
The Lancers (3-3) have won their last two games against Howard and Saint Francis. Claire Libby leads the Lancers with 13 goals. Lauren Cerretani and Haley Moomau are tied for second on the squad with 11 goals apiece. Cerretani, who began her collegiate career at GW, leads the team with 11 helpers. First-year goalie Amelia Carlile picked up Big South honors for the second-straight week and leads the conference with her .462 save percentage. Carlile is also ranked second in the Big South for her goals against average of 11.85 goals allowed per game. She is first in the league with 61 saves on the season.
