WASHINGTON – After opening its 2022 schedule with three-straight road tests, GW lacrosse returns to the Mount Vernon Lacrosse Field for a Wednesday matchup against American at 3 p.m.
LAST TIME OUTÂ
Despite putting 17 shots on net in each of their last two contests, the Buff & Blue are still seeking their first victory of the season. At UMBC on Saturday, Tori Hampton played in her first game since March 16, 2021, netting a pair of goals and leading the team with seven shots, putting four on net. In addition, first-year Ashley Geyer continued to have offensive success, scoring for the third-straight game.
SCOUTING AMERICAN
After helping her squad move to 2-2 on the season, first-year Maddy Spratt was named Patriot League Rookie of the Week, the first weekly award for American this season. Spratt leads the Eagles with seven assists after her first four games and is tied for second with 12 points. Spratt scored four goals in the team's two wins last week over George Mason and Howard.
