Patel leads GW with five-over-par

SAVANNAH, Ga. – GW golf opened its season at the Invitational at Savannah Harbor this weekend, finishing 14^th in the 16-team field with a 37-over-par 901.

First-year Arav Patel led all GW golfers with a five-over-par 221 to tie for 25^th overall. Patel recorded 36 pars and eight birdies to earn the final score.

Hugo Riboud and Jakub Hrinda led GW with nine birdies apiece, finishing 40^th and 45^th, respectively.

GW looks ahead to its second tournament of the season, when it heads to the Ross Collegiate Classic in Southern Pines, N.C., on March 7-8.
