Golf Signs Aksel Moe to NLI

Moe to join the GW program next fall
WASHINGTON – GW golf head coach Chuck Scheinost has announced that Aksel Moe has signed a National Letter of Intent to join the program starting in the fall of 2023.Â
"We are very excited to have Aksel join the GW program," said Scheinost. Throughout most of Aksel's junior playing career, he was ranked in the top 60 of the 2023 class, reaching as high as the third-ranked recruit in the 2023 class."
"Late this summer, we watched Aksel put together a few good tournament performances, including winning an AJGA Tournament," said Scheinost. "He brings a wealth of experience that will blend well with our extremely talented young team. We are excited to get him to Foggy Bottom next fall."
Moe was a Florida 3A High School Golf State Champion, a 2022 UHY AJGA Baltimore Junior Champion and boasts three top-5 AJGA finishes and five top-10 AJGA finishes. In 2020, Moe was selected to the JGTA All-Asia Team.
"George Washington University is the right place for me as it combines a high level of golf with excellent academics in a world-class city," said Moe. "The golf program is on the rise, and I can't wait to get started next fall."
For his junior and senior years, Moe attended Riverview High School in Sarasota, Fla. Moe completed his first two years of high school at Regents International School in Pattaya, Thailand, where he led his team to the top of the Thai International school rankings.Â
