Women’s Tennis Heads to ITA Atlantic Regionals

GW to play Friday-Monday in Annapolis, Md.
WASHINGTON – GW women's tennis will play in the annual ITA Atlantic Regional Championships in Annapolis, Md. on Friday.
ACROSS THE NET: Hosted by Navy, the 13-team field includes, George Mason, Maryland, Howard, Towson, Morgan State, Coppin State, Mount St. Mary's, Saint Joseph's, Duquesne, Penn State and Delaware.
ABOUT LAST TIME: GW opened its season at the Bedford Cup last weekend in College Park, Md. Katarina Marinkovikj clinched her first singles victory of the season after topping Towson's Sarah Popsichill, 6-0, 6-3. Marinkovikj and Stella Wiesemann made a finals appearance as a doubles pair, falling to VCU's Nina Sorkin and Gabriela Davidescu, 6-4.
UP NEXT: Following the ITA Atlantic Regionals, GW will play in the Blue and Gold Invite hosted by Navy on Oct. 8-10.
