Golf Adds Florian Blatti for 2021-22 Season

Blatti joins the Buff and Blue as a grad transfer from George Mason
WASHINGTON -Â Florian Blatti has joined GW golf as a graduate transfer for the 2021-22 season, Head Coach Chuck Scheinost has announced.Â
"We are very excited to have Florian join the team this year," Scheinost said. "Florian has grown significantly over his four years at George Mason, really coming into his own over the last five events of the 2021 season, turning in a 75.1 scoring average."Â
The Switzerland native also picked up a career-best finish at the Donald Ross Intercollegiate, finishing third among 82 golfers in the 54-hole, two-day tournament that GW also participated in. Blatti's tournament-best four-under-par 68 in the final round helped the senior finish two-under par overall (74-72-68=214).Â
"Florian brings a wealth of knowledge and experience and will be a great addition to our program for the 2021-22 season," Scheinost said.Â
Blatti joins a roster featuring five returning student-athletes and two incoming first-years.Â
A fall tournament schedule will be released soon.Â
