Women’s Tennis to Play La Salle at A-10 Championship

WASHINGTON - The No. 4 GW women's tennis team is set to face No. 13 La Salle in the first round of the Atlantic 10 Championship in Orlando, with the Buff and Blue riding a six-match win streak. First serve is set for Wednesday at 9 a.m.
Stella Wiesemann and Alexis Nelson lead the squad with a team-best eight wins in singles play.
In doubles play, Nelson and Lindsay Thompson pace the team with six wins and Wiesemann and Sarah Bodewes are second on the team with four wins.
La Salle finished the regular season 0-12 and 0-2 in conference play.
The winner of Wednesday's contest will face No. 5 Fordham or No. 12 Saint Joseph's on Thursday at 6 p.m.
