Women’s Tennis Wraps Up Regular Season at Duquesne

WASHINGTON - GW women's tennis will look for its sixth-straight win on Friday when it duels with Duquesne at 11 a.m.

The Buff and Blue earned their second consecutive weekend sweep last weekend, topping Towson and St. Joseph's.
At Towson, GW blanked the Tigers for the team's fourth shutout victory of the season. In the squad's only home match, the Buff and Blue edged St. Joseph's, 5-2, after picking up the doubles point and winning four of their singles matches.
Lindsay Thompson's straight-set singles win marked the fourth consecutive time she has defeated her opponent in just two sets.

The Dukes are riding a two-match win streak and sit at 6-4 overall and 3-3 in conference play. Daniela Latoni and Ellen Shanahan own a team-best six singles victories apiece. The pairing of Latoni and Shanahan also leads the team in doubles play with four wins.
