Women’s Tennis Aims for Another Pair of Victories

GW will visit Towson on Friday and host St. Joseph’s on Sunday for Senior Day
WASHINGTON - The GW women's tennis team will look for its third-consecutive win when it visits Towson on Friday for a non-conference matchup. First serve is scheduled for 3 p.m.
GW will host St. Joseph's on Sunday for its first and only home match of the season. The Buff and Blue will recognize senior Alexis Nelson ahead of first serve which is slated for 3 p.m.
LAST TIME OUT
Last weekend, GW secured back-to-back victories over Davidson and Radford.
After dropping the doubles point at Davidson, the Buff and Blue dominated singles play, winning four of its six matches to edge the Wildcats, 4-3.
GW earned its third shutout victory of the season at Radford on Sunday. After securing the doubles point, Alexandra Vesikallio, Lindsay Thompson, Sarah Bodewes and Stella Wiesemann went on to win their singles matches, leaving two matchups unfinished.

TAKING A LOOK AT TOWSON
Towson sits at 6-10 overall and 0-4 in conference play. Sarah Pospischill leads the Tigers with nine singles victories. In doubles play, Themis Haliou and Alexa Martinez have a team-best eight wins. Towson is coming off a 5-2 win vs. St. Joseph's and will host Drexel before welcoming GW on Friday.

St. Joseph's is 4-7 overall and 0-4 in A-10 conference play. Sunday's match will mark the Hawks' third-consecutive match day with trips to Richmond and George Mason before making their stop in the District.
