Women’s Tennis Set to Face Pair of Opponents on the Road

GW will play James Madison on Tuesday and Loyola (Md.) on Wednesday
WASHINGTON - The GW women's tennis team will play back-to-back matches on the road this week. The Buff and Blue will first travel to James Madison on Tuesday for a 1 p.m. match at Hillside Courts. The team will then travel to Loyola (Md.) on Wednesday for a 3 p.m. start.
LAST TIME OUT
GW is coming off a dominant 7-0 win at Howard on Sunday. GW secured all three doubles matches and won all singles matches in straight sets. Stella Wiesemann and Alexis Nelson have been steady contributors for GW, remaining undefeated in singles play.
SCOUTING JMU
JMU sits at 4-1 overall with its only loss coming from its match against No. 37 Old Dominion. The Dukes most recently blanked Davidson, 7-0, for their third shut-out victory of the season. JMU is led by Jona Roka who recently moved into third all-time at JMU with 76 singles victories. Daniela Voloh is undefeated in singles play this spring with a 3-0 record.
A LOOK AT LOYOLA
Loyola (Md.) is 1-1 overall and recently opened up Patriot League play with a 7-0 loss to Lehigh. The Greyhounds started the season with a 6-1 victory at Chestnut Hill. The team will travel to Coppin State on Tuesday before it returns home to host GW on Wednesday.
