Buff & Blue swept by Panthers in two-day meet
PITTSBURGH - Jamie Doak's record-setting diving display provided a major highlight among many for GW swimming and diving during a two-day meet at Pitt on Friday and Saturday at Trees Pool.
Doak posted a 1-meter score of 279.23 to eclipse a program record that had been held by Lynne McCormick since 2001. The junior diver also landed a five-dive platform record score of 210.60 vs. the Panthers.
GW came up short on the team scoreboard on both sides but managed to claim a total of 13 event wins vs. the ACC squad. Durde Matic (100 fly, 100 free), Philip Moldovanu (500 free, 1,000 free) and Moriah Freitas (100 fly, 200 fly) both won two events apiece.
