Doak led the way for the Buff & Blue
GREENSBORO, N.C. - Jamie Doak led the way for the GW divers at the three-day NC State/GAC Invitational, highlighted by a third-place finish on the 3-meter board.
On Friday at the Greensboro Aquatic Center, Doak posted a finals score of 277.80 on 3-meter, more than 16 points better than her prelims mark, to land in bronze medal position among an accomplished field. The junior from Chagrin Falls, Ohio, was also the program's top finisher on 1-meter in 11th with a finals score of 247.80.
Dara Reyblat qualified for finals in all three events and set the pace on platform Saturday with her seventh-place finish (180.85) in her collegiate debut in the event. The rookie from Sherman Oaks, Calif., also landed 12th on 3-meter (248.35) and 15th on 1-meter (216.65).
Spencer Bystrom placed 11th on 3-meter (277.70), 12th on 1-meter (264.25) and ninth on platform (215.25) on the men's side.
Caitlin Inall, Carolina Stocchi and Olivia Rosen represented the Buff and Blue at the meet as well, gaining valuable experience facing top competition.
