GW senior diver Olivia Paquette has clinched a spot at the NCAA Championships, becoming the first GW diver to make the NCAA Championships since 2005. Paquette will join Ava Topolewski and Holden Thomas in representing GW at the national meet in Atlanta later this month.
Paquette scored a 605.05 combined score in the 3-meter dive on Tuesday, finishing fifth and clinching the final NCAA qualifying spot in the event, 1.95 points ahead of sixth place. She clinched her first trip to the national meet in her senior season, after a decorated career which includes seven conference medals and four Zones appearances.
GW concluded NCAA Zone A on Tuesday, and with two swimmers already having qualified for nationals - Holden Thomas and Ava Topolewski - the three NCAA qualifiers ties the program record for most representatives in a single season.
