GW senior diver Olivia Paquette concluded her distinguished college career on Friday, competing in the 3-meter dive at the NCAA Championships. Paquette, who has a strong case as the top diver in program history, became the first GW diver, male or female, to make the national meet since 2005.
Paquette finished in 43rd place on Friday in the 3-meter dive, scoring 243.30 points in her NCAA Championships debut.
Twice named the A-10's Most Outstanding Female Diver (2024, 2025), Paquette's career included seven A-10 medals and four trips to NCAA Zone A. She medaled in all but one event throughout her career at A-10s, as she finished with three gold medals, two silvers and two bronze medals at the conference meets.
Paquette departs the Revolutionaries as the owner of the GW program records in both 1- and 3-meter dives (1M: 288.35; 3M: 336.90).
Majoring in public health, Paquette was named to the A-10 All-Academic Team for her sophomore, junior and senior seasons, and she was also named to the CSC Academic All-District team as a sophomore and junior.
Paquette was the first GW diver to compete at the NCAA Championships since Katura Horton-Perenchief in 2005. Paquette, alongside teammates and fellow NCAA Championship competitors Ava Topolewski and Holden Thomas, matched the program record for combined men's and women's representatives in a single season. The trio ties the 2024 group of Topolewski, Ava DeAngelis and Djurdje Matic, who also sent three to the national stage.
