Golf Trio Named All-America Scholars

Othmer, Preciado and Thompson earn Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-American Scholar honors
NORMAN, Okla. – George Washington golf's Logan Othmer, Luis Alfonso Preciado and Clifford Thompson have been named Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-American Scholars, the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) announced on Tuesday.
Othmer earns his first Srixon/Cleveland All-American Scholar recognition after excelling in the spring semester with a 3.90 GPA. Preciado and Thompson also saw success in the classroom this spring with a 3.94 and 3.68 GPA, respectively.
The trio joins a list of 404 honorees recognized across the nation, which requires an individual to be a sophomore, junior or senior, maintain a minimum 3.2 career GPA and have participated in 40 percent of the team's competitive rounds while recording a strove average under 76.0.
