Colonials to host Robert Morris on Saturday
WASHINGTON – The George Washington lacrosse team made the short trip to Georgetown on Tuesday afternoon, falling 13-4 at Cooper Field.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Colonials were the first to find the back of the net, with sophomore Ioanna Mantzouratos converting quickly off the draw to put GW on the board just two minutes into the game. Georgetown quickly responded with a goal of its own a minute later, before adding five more tallies to contribute to its offensive effort. The Colonials struck once more in the half, with Katie Quinn scoring from the free position, but the Hoyas went into the break with a 6-2 advantage.
The Hoyas continued to press in the second half, scoring seven more times while the Colonials were only able to net two more, to finish the day on top.
