Colonials and Rams to play pseudo-doubleheader on Saturday
ARLINGTON, Va. -Â GW baseball's opening game of conference play was short-lived on Friday afternoon as a hellacious hail storm halted play in the top of the third inning and ultimately forced a suspension of play due to poor field conditions.
The game will be picked up at the point of interruption at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Rhode Island currently leads the game, 3-0, in the top of the third inning with runners on second and third and two outs. Justin Cherry will have an 0-1 count when play resumes.
Saturday's originally scheduled game will be played 30 minutes after the completion of the suspended game. Both games will be nine innings in length.
