Baseball Adds Five Transfers to Stellar Recruiting Class

Group of five brings newcomer total to 16 for 2019 campaign
WASHINGTON - GW baseball head coach Gregg Ritchie announced the addition of five immediately-eligible transfers to the program on Thursday. The group bolsters an 11-man freshman class that was announced earlier this year.
"We are extremely excited to add these five young men to our outstanding recruiting class and the GW baseball family," Ritchie said. "This class as a whole has a chance to make an immediate and significant impact on our program.
"These five and the entire recruiting class are achievers that have high expectations for themselves and the team. I am honored to have these young men as part of the GW family and am excited to get to work and take this journey with each of them."

Greg Anderberg (Junior)
Ankeny, Iowa / Ankeny / Ellsworth CC
5'10" / 180 lbs. / C
2017-18 with Ellsworth CC: Hit at a .313 clip in 2018 with 11 2B, 2 HR, and 24 RBI ... Posted a .983 fielding percentage while serving at the team's primary catcher.
High School/Club: Earned second team all-conference honors as an infielder in 2014 before moving behind the plate for Ankeny High School … Named first team all-conference as a catcher in 2015 and first team all-conference as utility in 2016.
