Colonials preparing for eight-game fall schedule
WASHINGTON -Â George Washington softball has kicked off preparations for its first season under head coach Shane Winkler.
Coming off a record-breaking 2018 campaign, the Colonials will get ready for 2019 with four fall doubleheaders on the Mount Vernon Campus, beginning Sept. 22 against Shenandoah. (Full fall schedule here.)
Last spring, GW showcased one of the nation's top offenses en route to a program-record 33 wins and a berth in the Atlantic 10 Championship. The Colonials return their top seven hitters and three of their top four pitchers, led by NFCA All-Region honorees Jenna Cone, Alessandra Ponce and Priscilla Martinez.
Check out some highlights and interviews from Thursday's workout below.
