NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - George Washington baseball senior Isaiah Pasteur has been named the Atlantic 10 Player of the Week, the league office announced on Monday.
It marks the second time this season a GW player has earned the Player of the Week Award after senior Matt Cosentino grabbed the honors on March 5.
Pasteur hit safely in all three games, totaled three homers and threw a four-inning save as GW swept La Salle in the opening weekend of conference play.
Pasteur started his weekend by hitting a two-run home run in GW's 11-6 win on Friday.
On Saturday he went 1-for-4 with two runs scored and a walk while also throwing four innings of relief, allowing just an earned run with one strikeout, to earn his third save of the season in the Colonials' 5-4 win.
On Sunday he homered twice, drove in three runs and scored three times as GW drubbed La Salle, 8-2, in the series finale. His second home run was an inside-the-park round tripper.
For the week he batted .333 (4-for-12) with six runs, three home runs, five RBI, two walks and a double. He posted a slugging percentage of 1.167 and an on-base percentage of .429. On the mound he earned a save with 4.0 innings of one-run relief with one strikeout.
