Women's Tennis Hosts Pair of Opponents

SERVING FIRST: After taking a week hiatus for spring break, the George Washington women’s tennis team returns to action this with back-to-back matches at home, welcoming CSUN to the Southeast Tennis and Learning Center (STLC) on Thursday at 11 a.m. and Atlantic 10 foe Rhode Island on Saturday at noon.
LAST TIME OUT: The Colonials are coming off of a dominant 6-1 victory over Morgan State on March 11. GW took the early doubles point for the seventh time this season and secured five singles wins to improve to a 6-5 mark on the season.
ABOUT CSUN: The Matadors were edged by Texas State, 4-3, on Friday before falling, 4-2, to Harvard on Saturday. Alicia Dinkelmeyer won all three of her singles matches last week and was 2-1 in doubles action.
SERIES HISTORY: The Colonials will meet the Matatdors on Thursday for the first time in program history.
ABOUT RHODE ISLAND: The Rams fell to conference rival Dayton, 6-1, on Friday. Rhode Island is still looking for its first win of the season after dropping eight consecutive matches.
SERIES HISTORY: The Colonials defeated the Rams, 4-0, when they last met in April 2011 for the first round of the Atlantic 10 Championship.
